Today at the 8th Technical Meeting at school, I could learn a lot of different things related to the teaching of English. I'm really fond of those kind of things because we can share all the theoretical and practical things we study and learn, and that motivates me a lot!

I've watched 2 lectures today about games and interesting websites we can use with our students. at the moment I'm trying a new one called xtranormal (great to create dialogs) I'm going to post it here any other day. But you can create yours too.

Starting the Cosplay thing

It's really funny to know that I'm going to play the 'Krory' role in a cosplay group from D-gray man.

I wanted to be one of those people who dress up like the characters from the famous japanese mangas we read and anime wewatch in TV. Now it's the first time i'm going to experience this thing. I was thinking about doing something easier to identify, like Bleach or Dragon Ball, but it's also nice to play an "unknown" character too. The school I work in will have a cosplay party, and I'll take advantage of it to use this costume again. Ahhh, and as I'm a vampire, I'll also wear this costume to go to the Halloween party, I mean if they are ready to be used on time.

Well, let's see what is to come ahead. I've already got the cloth to make the costume and I'm going to buy the wig next week. Just thinking about the make up I'll have to wear... =\

I admit I'm a total idiot trying to go to SUS to see what my problem is....

That place is terrible and I had just gone there because my Asthma was killing me. It would be better if was home resting instead of going to that putrid zone.

Man, I got really mad with the minimal attention they give you. You're almost to have an attack there and the doctor just look at your face and say you have to continue doing the same thing you were doing before. The shit is I wasn't doing anything in special, you know?

The brazilian health care is decadent and the government doesn't give a damn to it. That's why Brazil is this ridiculous country!!!

Exam Period.

Yeah, they're like this!

The exam period has arrived where I work and sometimes I feel totally upset about some of my students who don't get good grades, but how come?
They're so good students during the classes, they answer every single question, they are the ones who like to read aloud, they're the ones who like to present their works first and... how come???
Well, maybe the best thing to do in a moment like that is to have a conversation with each one of them to know what happened. That's what I'm gonna do! (y)

Hey, I don't know what's happening to my blog!
It isn't working with all the tools to edit and post photos.

Semester back again!

Today is the first time I'm going to school this semester and I could notice many things:
1 - I'll have a little (or big) problem about my course time.
2 - My new Educational Politics teacher has a drunk face.
3 - We'll have a lot of good party time! woww.
4 - I'll get to work very late, as I did today.
5 - Maybe I'll get Excellent in some courses.

That's it!

Loud Music - ALWAYS!

Gone is the time those cute little machines were in the dining room with its soft and enjoyable music playing to make everyone in the house happier... I miss the time my grandfather used his radio to play those old musics with a very nice melody and lyrics full of meanings, but how about today?

Have you ever been in a public place in which you listen to loud music from everywhere?

No, I'm not talking about those squares or beaches where people put their loud car speakers at the top of its disturbing noise, but I'm talking about the BUS!

Yeah people, nowadays we can see/listen many people using their new powerful cell phones as a way of showing their identity toward music (many of them with poor quality in fact). The point is: If you have your earphones to plug in your cell phone, why do you still have those speakers blasting our ears off during the terrible trip we take in the bus?

The worst is that its getting as popular as tha swine flu! Yesterday while I was returning home, there were 3 different idiot people listening to 3 different kinds of music in the same bus. Gosh, I thought there would be a fight inside that bus because of that. Everyone wanted to be the louder one!

Shit! This is why those kind of technology wouldn't be in the people hands... Don't you agree?

I was a little upset thoughtful about my in vain struggle to make my students more independent during classes or when not in class. But I think I've overcome that for at least a while.

Why keeping the idiot thing?

INTO IT?

I know I shouldn't do something meaningful in the Aslan's community at Orkut, so why do I?

Well, I thinki it's simply because I'd like to add something that is really relevant to that "place" which doesn't have anything that can improve or make students more effective on the study of the second language they are learning.

Everytime I upload an interesting website, or some clues on how to improve the students English, someone erases it as it was an unimportant thing or spam and I get really mad at it!

Maybe is my time not to be an IDIOT and look for a better "place" to upload the things I think are important and that can help in some way everybody who wants to become an English speaker in fact.

This is my point of view...

Traslating Machine

Something very surprising happened yesterday while I was at my friend's.

A cousin of mine who I don't talk for a long time popped up greeting me and saying those things we normally do when chatting to friends. I found that really strange, but the point didn't took long to arrive.

She asked me to translate an abstract from Portuguese to English, because she needed that to present a work in a congress and blah blah blah....

Okay I felt like not accepting at first, but then I realized she wanted me to do that for free and well as I'm someone who thinks we teachers have to value our profession I accepted that not saying that I'd ask for a payment for the job. I think she was all happy because I'd translate her paper but before saying good-bye I said: Alright, so it's 20 bucks, is that okay? In my opinion she felt a little embarrassed because she gave that "yellow" smile and said, it was okay.

When I got home and told this story to my mother she loved it, since my mother doesn't like my cousin very much. She thinks my cousin is very stuck up! Well, I must admit it's not only her that thinks so... hehehe

Good Memories from that time...

Is IT a woman?

The most commented thing we see on TV lately is about the South African runner Caster Semenya.
The 18 year-old athlete has been submited to a test in order to discover ITS real sexuality. Many accusations have been made since the last 800m track and field proof during the World Championship in Berlim.
ITS performance was "incredibly incredible" and the athlete could break ITS own record which was 1:56.72. It took seven second less than the last time.
"The runner is normally confused with a man", says ITS the instructor. but he also says that he's sure she's a woman. He even says that everybody can look at it if they want to see whether she's a woman or not. (Would you look at it? xD)

The athlete is being compared to the German runner Dora Ratjen which was discovered to be a man after winning many championships during the Nazist Era in order to get gold medals to Germany.
